Biography
Marc Jaffe recently joined the firm in an “of counsel” position. He was a founding shareholder of his prior firm where he practiced in the Main Line and Delaware County area for over thirty-eight years. His principal areas of practice will continue to be (i) estate planning and probate, (ii) real estate and (iii) businesses and contracts.
Marc has been named as one of the Top Lawyers for many years by Main Line Today Magazine in the wills, trusts and probate category. He was voted #1 for that category in 2020 and 2021. He has also been named many times as one of the Top Attorneys by Suburban Life Magazine in the estate planning category and has also previously been selected for Pennsylvania Super Lawyers – Philadelphia Magazine – category – Estate Planning/Trusts. He has received the highest peer review rating of AV Preeminent ® from Martindale-Hubbell.**
For many years, Marc has assisted individuals and families with estate planning, wills and trusts. Businesses, business owners and their families have sought his advice about their business, business succession and the sale of the business. Marc has also represented individuals and entities in sales, purchases, leases and other transactions involving residential and commercial real estate. Marc advises surviving family members, executors, banks and trustees about probate and the administration of estates and trusts.
Marc has served as an instructor at Delaware County Community College since 2017, teaching courses on Estate Planning in its community education and Elder Week programs.
Marc received his law degree from Villanova University School of Law (J. D. cum laude) where he served as an editor of the Law Review. Marc later received a second degree – Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation – also from Villanova University School of Law, enabling him to better advise clients in the areas of Federal Estate Tax and Federal Gift Tax. His undergraduate degree is from Temple University (B.A. cum laude). Marc is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Marc grew up in Philadelphia and has spent his entire legal career helping clients in the Main Line/Delaware County area.
